Pre-Party

Sorry, I drank myself to sleep.
Everyone left.
I'm here by myself.
I can't go home.
I drink to fast forward.
And drink to forget.
I cut to let loose.
And cut to release.
But don't worry about me,
I'll just lay here and be.

A Two-Year Anniversary Dinner

Downtown, two minutes left.
I pull you forward and you pull me.
We desperately try to reach
Our point of destination,
The sole reason why we're working so hard.
Our backs getting hot, our
Tongues almost sticking
Out of our mouths,
Our thighs rubbing against each other.
With a desire to eat,
We're almost there,
We just want to finish, just
Rest, satiated.
Our faces strained, our grunts
Louder, our love intense-
"Come in".

We Stand

Around the corner
Is where we are.
Around the corner
Is always where we are.

We never move or turn
Another bend, cross any
Bridges or make any
Friends.

We don't hold hands or
See eye to eye, kiss nor
Wipe my tears as I
Cry.

I remember having you
To look forward to.
Sometimes not even that,
Or calling you boo.

Around the corner
Is where we are.
Around the corner
Is always where we are.

Time For A Revolution

Eyeless sightless heads, no tongues, plague the north
Disgusting little children run freely
It has begun:  the pig revolution
Women and men and women scream and shout
The corporate nightly prowls for profit
It has begun:  the big revolution
High class, the highest in society
Watch out, the most dangerous in power
It has begun: the kid revolution
Little animals hop and skip and dance
They scram terrorized confused, where’s mama
It has begun: the fib revolution

My eyes are so sore they begin to hurt
Child unaware of her mistakes (parents)
Why father? oh where did the money go
My feet need shoes, they walk on poverty
Animals die from every race (so sad)
Why mother? who is this man, new daddy
My hands, palms, fingers, nails:  all caked with dirt
Technology advances, stay behind
Why brother? we are at war, hellish war

We are changing, adapting, creating
For better (lies) or for worse (have mercy)
Love is forgotten, love is then renewed
Rules, laws, commandments are set in diamond
So unchangeable, impenetrable,
Inevitable, no way to turn back
Peace:  brotherly love amongst the people
Doves: flying free, sharing their love with all
Daisies:  standing strong, tall amidst chaos.

Your Picture

I was there with you,
On the other side of the glass.
Those hazelnut browns,
Just peering,
Judging.

It murdered my cat,
Strangled it by the neck,
Punch
Punch
Punch.

Over
and click
and over
and click
and over.

So glad to finally
Know, yet
So glad to finally
Tear.

Roommate

You walked across the room
As if nothing had happened.

Tell me boy,
Grandmother would say,
What is bothering you?

Humming nonchalantly,
Your eyes glazing over
The cheerios you pour.

Don't let that
Mean boy bother you,
She whispered.

You start to get
Frustrated
when the cheerios
Overflow.
Damn cup.

She warned
He is angry,
Saddened from his problems.

I help you
Pick up the
Cheerios.

I help you
Put them in
The trash.

But,
In turn,
You put yourself
In the
Trash.
